Scenery of Kyoto

京都は、私が生まれ育った故郷です。以前、建築前に埋蔵文化財の試掘調査を行った際、京都市内の御所の南まで、弥生時代に、鴨川が氾濫していた当時の砂が流れてきていたという状況を実際に確認することができました。人々の暮らしは、地層で重ねられ、改良され、歴史が積み重ねてこられました。今、生活している私たちが責任をもって、後世に伝えられるような仕事を、これからも行っていきたいです。

Kyoto is my hometown, the place where I was born and raised. In a previous pre-construction exploratory survey of buried cultural properties, we confirmed evidence of the Yayoi period, when sand from the Kamo River’s flooding reached as far south as the Imperial Palace in Kyoto City. People’s lives evolved and progressed over time, and history was formed in the layers of the land. We, who are living in the present, bear the responsibility to continue our work and leave behind a legacy for future generations.
